FAQ.
Day of Inspection
Should I attend the inspection?
Yes, attend your home inspection if you are able to. It’s always mutually beneficially to communicate defective items with you face to face. It’s not the end of the world if you are not able to attend your home inspection. Our reports are very easy to digest and we’re always available to answer any questions.
Should I walk around the house with you?
We’re going to keep it real with you…most inspectors won’t admit this but…no inspector loves the client following them during an inspection. We completely understand your excitement and curiosity but the inspection goes much smoother when the client let’s the inspector do their job without distractions. We also include a ton of video/audio in our reports, so any outside noise or distraction are counter productive. Trust us, we will answer 99% of your questions in the report and/or inspection presentation.
Can my agent attend the inspection?
Yes! Agents are encouraged to be there and be engaged so we can review the summary and help them get a jump start on the Repair Request Addendum.
The Report
What should I be looking for?
Our reports have many of images/videos to help you recall what you’re looking at. We break down our reports into three categories (minor defects, major defects and safety hazards)
The summary will be the most helpful area of the report, right at the top.
Follow-up
Can I call you if I have questions after the I get the report?
Absolutely! Call, text or email and your inspector will get back to you as soon as possible. Please be patient as your inspector will not call you while they are in the process of inspecting another home.
